Dr. Damian Zynda is no stranger to the Church of the Transfiguration! Prior to assuming her current position as Director of Ignatian Identity at McQuaid Jesuit, Damian was our Director of Formation where she founded and developed an adult formation program based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius.
After a short hiatus Damian returns to direct the Spiritual Exercises Program.
The Spiritual Exercises Retreat, created by St. Ignatius of Loyola (founder of the Society of Jesus) in the 16th century assists Christians in establishing or deepening their personal relationship with Jesus Christ through a commitment to daily prayer and a weekly meeting with a spiritual director for the duration of the retreat (30 weeks beginning in September and ending in May).
Transfiguration is fortunate to have a pool of theologically educated directors who hold a Masters (or terminal) degree in Divinity, Theology or Pastoral Studies; experience in making the Spiritual Exercises and have multiple years of direction experience under supervision; and have been formed in Ignatian Spirituality through graduate level course with Damian on the Spiritual Exercises, discernment and conversion. All directors at Transfiguration participate in ongoing professional development, meet monthly for their own spiritual direction and supervision, and make an annual silent directed retreat in the Ignatian Tradition.
If you desire a life of intimacy with God, a deeper sense of purpose and mission, please contact Damian.
