I have been a member of St Catherine's since 1975 when our places of worship were the present chapel and the "Prayvilion". At that time Msgr Schnacky was our pastor. I was drawn to St Catherine's because it was welcoming to all people and by the open mindedness of Msgr. I had been very active in my campus church community in college and this parish allowed me to continue to worship in a forward thinking community. Both of my children were baptized in my home by Msgr Schnacky at a mass that I planned.
In the early years at St Catherine's I was active in social ministry with Marion Tucker. I helped with the resettlement of our Laotian family. My current ministries are RAIHN, Open Meal and as a lector.
I retired in 2016 after working for 30 years as an anesthesiologist. I am an avid hiker, almost daily in Mendon Ponds Park, and I enjoy gardening. My grandchildren, Lucy (3) and Henry (1) are the delight of my life. I only wish they lived here instead of Boston!
