be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire."
--St. Catherine of Siena
Every year as the seasons change, Binnie Duval and Evelyn Wilson have made us aware of the cycles of the Church year. Binnie with her beautiful arrangement of flowers for the Easter Season and other times of the Liturgical Year. Evelyn for her deep knowledge of past celebrations. Evelyn knows when and how many flowers to order for Christmas and Easter, what “treasures” are stored in the basement and has fresh ideas about how they could be used. Both Binnie and Evelyn have blessed us with their seasonal and Liturgical themes, particularly raising our spirits during the period of COVID.
I nominate Binnie Duval and Evelyn Wilson for being “STAR LIGHTS!”
With much gratitude,
Bridget Blackburn
One of the things I hear often is how much our parishioners (those 60 years or older) appreciate the birthday cards sent to them from the Parish Staff. It is a pleasure to sign the cards but something significant happens before signing. Our parishioner, Laurie Cook, inscribes each card by name and addresses the envelope. That is a lot of cards and envelopes over the entire year. So, I would like to nominate Laurie for her ongoing stewardship in giving of her time each month to bring some cheer to the birthday honorees.
Laurie, you are a “Star Light” to all who receive your birthday greetings!
God’s love and Blessing to you,
Father Rob
