Faith Festivals seek to make disciples—“to put people not only in touch, but also in communion and intimacy, with Jesus Christ.”
Faith Festivals are an opportunity to not only learn together with your family, but with the other families of the parish. Faith Festivals not only build small Christian communities, but seeks to INFORM, FORM, & TRANSFORM the entire community in the Catholic faith.
The outline of the Faith Festivals are typically self guided and includes a light meal. Each Festival engages people in the practices of the faith community; learning by studying, practicing, performing, and reflecting, but most importantly learning by doing the activities in the first place.
People come to faith and grow in faith and in the life of faith by participating in the practices of the Christian community—the practices of the whole church. People come to faith and grow in faith and in the life of faith by learning and living these practices. It is not enough simply to know about them or think about them or observe other people engaging in them. Each of us must actually pray, read the Scriptures and interpret them, and provide hospitality to strangers."
