activate Manual Fire Alarm (located at all dorrs that exit to the outside)
initiate evacuation procedures for any occupants of the affected building(s)
call 9-1-1 (move to a safe area before making this call)
give your name, telephone number and location
describe situation
if you know how to use a fire extinguisher and feel the course of action is to attempt to extinguish the fire, locate an extinguisher and without risking injury, attempt to extinguish the fire.
If the fire is beyond the point of a safe attempt to extinguish it, isolate the fire by closing the doors in the area before evactuating.
Our evactuation meeting site is the Basketball Court, located behind the Church. The alternate site is the Parish Office Parking Lot, or depending on the situation, follow the directions of staff members or authorities.
Able bodied persons should:
assist disabled and elderly persons to evacuate
keep people from congregating near the exits, driveways or roadways or from re-entering the building
RELIGIOUS ED & YOUTH GROUP RE Coordinator & Youth Minister:
Remain calm and account for all the children and staff.
Teachers:
Take the Attendance Record & Parent Contact Information with you
Count the children before exiting the building.
Close doors on your way out
exite and move to the Evactuation meeting site and count the children again.
mark off children as they are released to parents.
DO NOT RE-ENTER THE BUILDING UNTIL THE "ALL CLEAR HAVE BEEN GIVEN BY AUTHORITIES
